Smart Ethernet and Web I/O Modules

Smart Web I/O Modules - ADAM-6000 Smart Web I/O Module are industrial-grade Ethernet hub/switch/IO for Ethernet networking solutions in Industrial Automation environments.
They allow users to expand their industrial networks fast and cost-effectively.
The data is presented to the host in Modbus TCP/IP, UDP, or TCP/IP.   Scada software such as Citect can use them.
RJ-45 connector is provided for ethernet.

Analog Input/Output Modules (ADAM-6015 to ADAM-6024) The analog input modules use microprocessor-controlled, high resolution, 16-bit, sigma-delta A/D converters to acquire sensor signals such as voltage, current, thermocouple or RTD.

ADAM-6000 Modules now include Peer-to-Peer & Graphical Conditional Logic Functionality - July 2008

Advantech has announces a new firmware enhancement for the ADAM-6000 Ethernet I/O modules which adds
advanced Peer-to-Peer (P2P)  and  Graphic Condition Logic (GCL) functionality.

PEER TO PEER: With this functionality, these distributed Ethernet I/O modules can actively update input channel status to specific output channels. In the past, a controller was needed to read data from the Ethernet input modules to Ethernet output modules. Now the data will transfer automatically, with no extra controller or programming needed. Also, it can minimize the system response time.

GRAPHIC CONDITION LOGIC: GCL is a windows-based software utility to add control logic between input and output without extensive programming. GCL can easily create equivalent instructions to simple ladder logic instructions on PLC's. It also supports flexible cascade function locally or over the Ethernet network.

The ADAM-6000 modules provided a variety of input/output options, a simple PC ladder logic, logic cascade and feedback function, online monitoring of running status, the ability to connect to SCADA/HMI software, a built-in web server, and an extremely fast response time.

ADAM-6050 Series: Digital Input/Output/Counter, Relay

The digital input/output channels provide three operational modes, with each channel able to set its operational mode independently.
The counter/frequency module offers two 32-bit counter channels and a built-in programmable timer for frequency measurement.
The relay module offers six isolated digital input channels and six isolated relay channels.

ADAM-6052 New Source Type Digital I/O Module from Advantech

Advantech presents the ADAM-6052, a 16-channel source type digital input/output module.
With 8 digital inputs, and 8 source type digital outputs, the ADAM-6052 is aimed at meeting the demands for simpler control system architectures.
The 1 A source type digital output signal is highly suitable for applications such as solenoid valve control in chemical plants, or any other kind of low current applications that need to be carefully controlled

ADAM-6520 is a 5-port industrial-grade switch with Ethernet connectivity and from 10 to 100 Mbps transfer rates. (Auto-negotiation).
Just like any other product in the ADAM family, ADAM-6520 can be mounted in three different ways: DIN rail, Wall and Stack.

ADAM-6521S    Industrial Switch with 4 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port
                                                            & 1 Single-mode Fiber Port

ADAM-652S1 is an industrial-grade Ethernet switch and single-mode fiber converter. It is designed to help extend an Ethernet network up to 15 km through areas with electrical noise interference. ADAM-6521 has one fiber optic and four RJ-45 ports. With single-mode fiber transmission, you can prevent noise interference and achieve transmission distances up to 15 km. Thus, ADAM-6521S is especially suitable for industrial environments with long-distance Ethernet networking needs, e.g. warehouses, transportation, environmental monitoring, and many more.

ADAM-6541     Ethernet to Multi-mode Fiber Optic Converter

The ADAM-6541 is an industrial grade converter which is designed to convert Ethernet network (10/100Base-TX) to fiber network (100Base-FX). It transparently converts Ethernet signals into optic signals. The advantages of fiber optics are wide bandwidth, anti-EMI and suitable for long-distance transmission. ADAM-6541/ST is an industrial-grade converter designed to convert Ethernet networks to fiber networks. It does so by transparently converting Ethernet signals to optic signals. The advantages of fiber optics are wide bandwidth, EMI immunity and long-distance transmission capability. Therefore, ADAM-6541/ST are ideal solution for “fiber to building” applications at central offices or local sites. ADAM-6541/ST supports MDI/MDIX auto detection, so you don’t need to use crossover wires. It also includes a switch controller that can sense the transmission speed (10/100 Mbps) automatically. Both the Ethernet port and the fiber port have memory buffers that support store-and-forward mechanisms. This assures data cane be transmitted properly. ADAM-6541/ST is extremely compact and can be mounted in three different ways: DIN-rail, panel and piggyback. ADAM-6541 and ADAM-6542 can operate from -10 ~ 65° C and accept a wide voltage range from +10 ~ 30 VDC. Besides, it also provides 3,000VDC surge protection (EFT) against over-voltage so it is suitable for harsh operating environments.


ADAM-6542     Ethernet to Single Stand WDM Fiber Optic Converter

The ADAM-6542 adopts WDM technology that increases the information carrying capacity of fiber via multiplex transmit and receive signals at different wavelengths on the single strand cable. The WDM technology is implemented in couples. One site is installed ADAM-6542/W15 which transmit channel is 1550nm and receive channel is 1310nm. The other site is installed ADAM6542/W13 which transmit channel is 1310nm and receive channel is 1550nm. Both transmit and receive channels of ADAM-6542/W15 and ADAM-6542/W13 are multiplexed to a single strand cable. You can save half cabling cost when you use ADAM-6542/W15 and ADAM-6542/W13 instead of your original dual fiber converter.
