Resistive, Capacitive or SAW
Resistive Touchscreens are for applications where speed and accuracy are required, They are used primarily for point of sales and medical and industrial applications.
Resistive Touchscreens are versatile and pens, gloved hands or bare skin can be used to acivate the touchscreen.

Capacitive touchscreens need bare finger or wet glove to activate them. The surface is tougher than that of resistive touchscreens.

SAW (Sound Acoustic Wave) Touchscreens are for applications such as information kiosks.
They are strong and are scratch and vandle proof. Water, dirt and contaminants can't get in.
They work even when glass is scratched.
The user must use bare skin or object that absords the sound waves to activate the touchsreen.

ELO (or Liyi) branded TFT Touch Screen Panel, 13.3" and 15.1" active TFT LCD flat panel display.
Available in black or beige colour (silver may be available soon).  
Power into the base of the screen assembly is 12VDC.  Mains adaptor 100 - 240VAC to 12VDC 2A is provided
The monitor assembly is heavy for stability, so that touches on the screen will not move the monitor.
The Touch screen has an RS232 serial interface. A USB to serial adaptor can be supplied on request.
Internal cables run from inside the back of the screen down to the back of the base, to the external connectors.
With the pole mount oprion, the cable run down the inside of the pole.
The bulge on the right side showing in the pictures is the optional magnetic card reader.
Included: VGA cable, RS232 DB9M to DB9F cable, Mains adaptor with 240VAC cord and 12VDC cord, CD, User Manual sheet.
