Ceiling Mounts

Ceiling mounts offer an ideal solution for all retail applications, entertainment and sporting venues, clubs, airports and other mass transport facilities, digital signage and other commercial applications where mounting flexibility and prominence/visibility are critical and space is limited.
Atdec’s Ceiling Mounts have carrying capacity of up to 120kg (164lbs) are ideal for any type of flat screens up to 160cm (63”), including back to back options.

Mounting the LCD onto the Arm

Direct Mount:

Swing Arms for LCD Monitors - Swing Arm Acrobat Range

Swing Arms are 340mm long (see pictures above right)
Extra Long Swing Arms are 450mm long - discontinued.

The pole can support up to 3 LCD monitors (3kg to 9kg), and can be adjusted as follows:
- 360º rotation of the arm around the mounting post/
- 180º for the wall mount version
- 90º angle sweep of the arm vertically (75º up and 15º down)
- 180º angle sweep horizontally of the monitor relative to the arm
- an additional ±40º in all planes of the monitor relative to the arm
- 360º rotation of the monitor about the arm allowing the monitor to be rotated
     from landscape to portrait format with suitable software applications (desktop publishing/financial/trading applications etc)
- All movements can be made from a seated position.

The monitor mount centre is 227mm above the desk when the arm (both parts) is exactly horizontal.
Arm height adjustment range is up to 90°, i.e. about ±255mm, can be more up or more down depending on the weight adjustment setting.
A 9mm dia hole is required in the desktop for mounting the pole.
A screwed rod goes through the hole vertically and is fixed with a nut and washer underneath the desk.

   The dimensions of the part which touches the wall are 90 x 55 mm.
   Mounting holes are provided, and also nylon wall plugs and screws.
   Normally two are used near the top edge and one near the bottom edge.
   These have been found to give sufficient support if the wall plugs fit the drilled holes properly.
   However responsibility lies with the customer to check that the installation is strong enough.
   Dynabolts (not supplied) which expand in the hole when tightened, could be used.

Keyboard Support Tray Arm

An arm with tray, the arm can mount on the pole of a BT (bolt thru desk) or DC (desk clamp) model, or can mount on a wall beneath a wall mount LCD mount. It moves horizontally around the pole, not up or down.
Supports up to 5kg keyboard.

VESA Mount Compliance Explained

The Video & Electronics Standards Association of USA (VESA) has issued suggested standards for the attachment mounting systems for electronic visual displays. This is how the mount attaches to the display itself.

Whilst these standards are quite detailed the basic details of the standards involve the size of the display and the relevant spacing and sizing of the hole to mount the display.

Screen Size

12 inch to 23 inch (305mm to 583mm) Displays (most Computer Monitors).
Hole pattern: 4 holes M4 screw thread
     75mm x 75mm     (3”x3” approx.) or
     100mm x 100mm (4”x4” approx.)

23 inch to 30.9 inch (584mm to 787mm)
Hole Pattern: 6 holes M4 screw thread
      100mm x 200mm (4” x 8” approx.)

31 inch to 90 inch (787mm to 2286mm)
Hole Pattern: increments of 8 inches (200mm)
     Up to 50 kg M6 screw thread         Over 50 kg M8 screw thread
