Price includes 5m of 8 core vented cable.
Specify cable required at time of ordering.
You need enough 8 core vented cable on the sensors to bring the cable above
the highest water level. It is terminated in a vent housing.
The vent housing is part of the overall price of the unit. The price of vented
cable is $8.00 per metre.
The rest of the distance to the logger is run in three core cable. Three core
cable: $3.75 per metre.
The diaphram is approx 55mm from the lower end of the sensor body.
There is a screw on end cap, which has three sideways facing holes.
This is to prevent direct entry of objects into the central hole which leads
to
the diaphram.
Some people have been known to poke wires, etc, up the central hole to clean
it,
with disastrous results to the diaphram !
The end cap prevents this, or at least makes it more difficult.
Readings are referenced to the bottom of the body.
By using the inbuilt set up menu, each sensor can be auto zeroed or any offset
can be typed in.
This makes it easy to reference the reading to any level required by the user.
The factory default may be restored at any time, which will again reference
the reading to the
bottom of the body.
There is provision for a filter disc to be inserted in the screw-on end cap,
which might help prevent sand entering the diaphram chamber.
The sensors are supplied without a filter fitted.
A suitable filter material will have to be sourced depending upon how coarse
the sand is.
