The default settings for Monitor
Sensors Weather Stations are the settings that the Weather Station will use to
collect data from the sensors when the station is first powered up, or when the
station is restarted after a loss of power for any reason.
These settings
are based upon the minimum requirements for a remote Weather Station, having regard
to the Meteorological Bureau standards. Some users will be happy with these schedules,
while others are more likely to increase the frequency of data collection, rather
than make a reduction.
Temperature
daily at 09:00 and 15:00 hours, plus daily maximum, minimum and average taken
at 23:58 hours.
Humidity as above
Barometric pressure hourly, plus daily
maximum, minimum and average taken at 23:58 hours.
Solar Radiation daily at
06:00,then hourly until 18:00, plus daily maximum, minimum and average taken at
23:58 hours.
Rain Fall daily totals since midnight at every hour,
plus 9:00 to 9:00 total at 08:59, plus daily total, and maximum rainfall rate
at 23:58 hours.
Wind Speed hourly, plus daily maximum, minimum and average
taken at 23:58 hours.
Wind Direction hourly, plus daily mean and standard
deviation at 23:58 hours
When the Station is powered up, the data logger will search and find all the sensors, which are connected and automatically commence logging using the above schedules. The user may at any time change the schedules to any of the very wide range available through the loggers set up menus. Any sensor may be set to record at one second intervals, through to one reading per day, or alternatively, readings can be taken on the hour at specified times through out the day. In addition, burst mode provides the possibility of taking rapid readings for brief periods at specified times.
Alternative default schedules may be specified by the user at the time of ordering. This is especially useful for stations intended for portable applications, or any other application where power to the station is likely to be interrupted for any length of time.
The wind alarm unit is normally supplied
with a multi position switch to select the wind speeds at which the alarm is triggered.
The switch positions allow selection of thresholds speeds in 5 Km/h increments
from 5 Km/h to 55km/h.
The minimum alarm duration time is selectable between
5 minutes, 15 minutes and 30 minutes.
The alarm delay time is normally one
minute.
This is the period of time for which the threshold speed must be
exceeded before an alarm condition is established.
Any of the above parameters
may be specified by the user at the time of ordering.
The units available
for the threshold speeds are Km/h, metres/sec, miles per hour, knots, feet/sec.
Any speeds in the range 1 to 200 Km/h may be specified.
The alarm duration
times may be specified from one second to 4½ hours.
The alarm delay
time maybe specified from 4 seconds to 5 minutes.
