ARK-3360 is a high performance industrial computer that supports Intel Atom N450/D510 processors, and has an Intel® 3.5 generation chipset built in. It offers dual display and support for high-resolution wide screen, three GbE ports, six USB 2.0 ports, a maximum of six COM ports, and MiniPCIe/MiniPCI expansion for a communication module such as HSDPA, WLAN. It brings high performance and high expansion capabilities to diverse applications.
The new ARK Atom series of embedded IPCs are ultra-compact for easy setup andmaintenance. Both ARK-3202 and ARK-3360 support a wide range of operatingtemperatures, from -20 to 60° C. The eAutomation Group of Advantech has introduced a new model to the UNO-3000 Series, the UNO-3072L, an excellent cost/performance Celeron M grade embedded automation computer. The UNO-3072L comes with rich peripheral slots, offering two RS-232 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports with RS-485 automatic flow control, two 10/100 Ethernet ports, four USB ports, and two PCI-bus expansion slots.
The UNO-3072L supports Windows XP
(SP2) Embedded with write protection (EWF) with a pre-configured image that has
optimized onboard device drivers.
The UNO-3072L also supports Windows 2000/XP

The

DDR
(Double Data Rate) SDRAM is similar to conventional SDRAM,
but doubles the
rate by transferring data twice per cycle.
It
uses 2.5 volts as opposed to 3.3 volts used in SDR SDRAM (Single Data Rate),
and requires 184-pin DIMM modules rather than 168-pin DIMM modules used by SDR
SDRAM.
Two types of DDR are available at the
time of writing: PC1600 & PC2100.
PC1600 DDR SDRAM running at 100MHz
will produce about 1.6GB/s memory bandwidth.
PC2100 running at 133MHz will
produce 2.1GB/s memory bandwidth.
High memory bandwidth makes DDR an ideal
solution for high performance PC, workstations and servers.
DDR2
SDRAM or double-data-rate two, synchronous
dynamic random access memory, is a computer memory technology.
It is a part
of the SDRAM family of random access memory technologies, which is one of many
DRAM implementations.
DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs have
240 pins (as opposed to 184 pins on DDR DIMMs, and 168 pins on SDRAM DIMMs).
Operating
voltage: 1.8 V (compared to DDR's 2.5 V)
The
advantage of DDR2 over its predecessor DDR SDRAM is the ability for much higher
clock speeds, due to design improvements. With a clock frequency of 100 MHz, single-data-rate
SDRAM transfers data on every rising edge of the clock pulse, thus achieving an
effective 100 MHz data transfer rate.
However, both DDR and DDR2 are double
pumped; they transfer data on the rising and falling edges of the clock, at points
of 0.0 V and 2.5 V (1.8 V for DDR2), achieving an effective rate of 200 MHz (and
a theoretical bandwidth of 1.6 GB/s) with the same clock frequency. The difference
of DDR2 to DDR is a doubled bus frequency for the same physical clock rate,
thus doubling the effective data rate another time.
DDR2's bus frequency is boosted by electrical interface improvements, on-die termination, prefetch buffers and off-chip drivers. However, latency is greatly increased as a trade-off. The DDR2 prefetch buffer is 4 bits wide, whereas it is 2 bits wide for DDR and 8 bits wide for DDR3.
Power savings are achieved primarily due to an improved manufacturing process, resulting in a drop in operating voltage (1.8 V compared to DDR's 2.5 V). The lower memory clock frequency could also help a board designer save power; DDR2 can use a real clock frequency 1/2 that of SDRAM whilst maintaining the same bandwidth.

Note: DDR2-xxx (or DDR-xxx)
denotes effective clockspeed, whereas PC2-xxxx (or PC-xxxx) denotes theoretical
bandwidth (though it is often rounded up or down). Bandwidth is calculated by
taking effective clockspeed and multiplying by eight.
This is because DDR2
can transfer 64 bits of data each clock cycle, and since a byte is comprised of
8 bits, this equates to 8 bytes of data per clock cycle.
Some manufacturers label their DDR2-667 sticks as PC2-5400 instead of PC2-5300. At least one manufacturer has reported this reflects successful testing at a faster-than standard speed. [1]
Backwards compatibility
DDR2
DIMMs are not backwards compatible with DDR DIMMs. The notch on DDR2 DIMMs is
in a different position than DDR DIMMs, and the pin density is slightly higher
than DDR DIMMs. DDR2 is a 240-pin module, DDR is a 184-pin module
