  • API available for integrating DataNet hardware with proprietary systems
The DataNet wireless system is a data acquisition solution developed for 24/7 real-time monitoring for mission critical organizations. Boasting a variety of wireless data logger models using ZigBee RF technology, the DataNet solution is capable of measuring parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, voltage, current, or frequency. Choose from DataNet models offering up to 6 inputs or the more cost-effective single or dual input Mini DataNet range, depending on your application requirements.

Each DataNet mesh network is managed by a Receiver connected via USB to a Windows-based PC, and also supports addition of wireless Repeater units for extending the network transmission range and improving network robustness.

What is ZigBee?

ZigBee is a standards-based protocol built around the IEEE 802.15.4 wireless protocol, providing the network infrastructure required for wireless, low power network applications such as DataNet.

Powered by the DataSuite software

The DataNet system is powered by the intuitive DataSuite software, the central management interface of each DataNet wireless network. Data is monitored online and can be displayed in graphical and tabular formats, with comprehensive features for detailed data analysis, issuing system reports, as well as network configuration, logger calibration and over-the-air firmware updates.

One DNR900A Receiver
Mandatory for every network, the Receiver forms the wireless network, and manages each device which connects to it. The Receiver handles all interaction between logger and PC, including data download, configuration and calibration.
One or more wireless data loggers
DNL910A and DNL920A – Wireless loggers with internal temperature sensor (DNL910A) and humidity sensor (DNL920A) plus four additional external inputs supporting: 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 1 V, 0 to 50 mV, PT-100 2 wires, Thermocouples (J, K and T), Contact, Pulse Counter and Frequency

DNL920A-PA – Due to integrated power amplifier, these models considerably extend the transmission range of the standard DNL910A and DNL920A models.

DNL808A-BXT and DNL810A-BXT – Mini DataNet battery operated loggers offer a more cost effective solution, supporting between 1-2 inputs only, and no LCD. Measuring temperature and humidity (DNL810A-BXT) or temperature only via external probe (DNL808A-BXT).

One or more Repeaters
The DNR900A device can also be configured to run as a Repeater, for extending system range and ensuring a robust network by offering multiple transmission routes between logger and Receiver.
DataSuite software installation
Each network is managed by the DataSuite software, installed on the same computer to which the Receiver is connected.

DataNet Devices

DNR900A – DataNet Receiver/Repeater

The DNR900A is a dual functionality device, operating as either a Receiver or Repeater in the DataNet network.

DataNet Receiver/Repeater

When configured as a Receiver, the DNR900A is the gateway between the PC and devices joined to the wireless DataNet network. Connected to the PC via a mini-USB cable, each Receiver manages a single network supporting all DataNet models, and is powered by the DataSuite data analysis software. More than one Receiver may be connected to the PC, thereby supporting monitoring of multiple DataNet networks using a single DataSuite installation.

When configured as a Repeater, the DNR900A may be deployed to increase the effectiveness and robustness of the mesh network by providing multiple transmission routes between logger and PC. And the DNR900A’s long transmission range can be leveraged to increase the overall network range, for relaying data from loggers located far from the PC.

Key product benefits:

  • Dual functionality with both Receiver and Repeater capabilities
  • Repeater offers reliable, long-range transmission for building large mesh network
  • Multiple network support on single PC
  • Intuitive interface with LCD and keypad
  • External alarm output for onsite visual/audible alarm notification
  • Powered by 12 VDC with internal back-up battery in event of power failure

13750 - USB over IP Ethernet Adapter for Remote Device Connection

The 4-port USB over IP Ethernet Adapter provides the capability for remotely connecting to any Fourtec USB-supported device over a LAN connection. For example, if you need to monitor the DataNet wireless system remotely and not from an onsite PC, simply connect the DataNet Receiver to the USB over IP device, and as long as you are on the same LAN, launching the DataSuite software will automatically detect the DataNet network as if you were connected to the Receiver directly via the USB cable. You will then be able to monitor the entire system as normal.
