When you need to record temperature (or pressure) in a high temperature environment such as an autoclave or oven, you will need a data logger specifically designed for high temperature and high pressure environments. Most regular data loggers cannot withstand more than about 80°C and that too only for short time periods. 

Esis specialises in high temperature data logging, and we have several loggers that can survive 140°C or even up to 260°C for limited times with a suitable thermal shield. Nautilus135 Autoclave Logger to 135 ° C

Autoclaves work by allowing steam to enter, then maintaining the pressure at 103 kPa (1.03 bar,15 psi).
This causes the steam to reach 121 °C, and this is maintained for at least 15 minutes.

Nautilus135 is designed for autoclaves and can also be used in other applications.

Time stamping of Readings in ACR Data Loggers
All ACR loggers have an accurate clock, but not a real time clock. Data is time referenced when the data is downloaded, from the time and date of the computer. The PC being used should have it's clock set accurately (automatic via internet with Windows XP).
Time references can be adjusted with the TrendReader software.

Nautilus FAQ

Is the Nautilus product waterproof? To what depth and pressure has it been tested?
While we have no official documentation or third party testing, the product easily withstood our own water testing. The Nautilus casing has been tested in 2000 PSI, which is equivalent to the pressure at a depth of 1400 meters of water.

Can I calibrate the Nautilus data logger?
Low, mid and high calibration values can be adjusted using TrendReader 2 (version 2.30 and higher).

What are the Nautilus operating limits?
The operating range for the Nautilus85 is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
The operating range for the Nautilus135 is 10 to 135 degrees Celsius.

What should be done to protect the waterproof seal?
The O-Ring should be moistened with silicon grease to maintain the waterproof seal.

What is the battery life of the Nautilus?
The battery of a Nautilus85 is 10 years and for the Nautilus135 it is 3 years.

Is the battery in a Nautilus data logger replaceable?
Yes. However, it can only be replaced in the factory by ACR Systems Inc.

HiTemp140The HiTemp140 is a rugged, high precision, temperature data logger that is built for use in harsh environments. This stainless steel device is submersible and can withstand temperatures up to 140 °C (284 °F).
With the HiTemp140’s standard calibration, an accuracy of +/-0.1 °C (0.18 °F) can be achieved over a wide temperature range.   ozb

The HiTemp140 can store up to 32,700 readings, and features a rigid external probe capable of measuring extended temperatures, up to 260 °C (500 °F).

Custom probe lengths are available up to 7 inches. The device records date and time stamped readings, and has non-volatile solid state memory.

Using the MadgeTech Software, starting, stopping and downloading the HiTemp140 is simple and easy.

To use, simply place the HiTemp140 in the IFC400 or IFC406 docking station (sold separately). Using
the software, an immediate or delay start can be chosen, as well as the reading rate.
Start the data logger, remove it from the docking station and the device is ready to be deployed.
Graphical, tabular and summary data is provided for analysis and data can be viewed in °C, °F, K or °R.

HiTemp140-TSK  Data Logger
housed in a thermal shield,  -200°C to 250°C

The HiTemp140-TSK is a kit that includes a HiTemp140 data logger housed in a thermal shield. The combined features of the ±0.1°C accuracy of the HiTemp140 and the properties of the durable thermal shield allow the device to be used for a wide range of validation applications. This rugged system can be placed in and withstand temperatures from -200°C to 250°C for a limited time, making it ideal for use in autoclave validation, monitoring food processing and dishwasher testing.

Using the MadgeTech software, the data logger is fast and easy to setup. Remove the thermal shield and place the HiTemp140 into the IFC400 docking station (sold separately). Using the software, an immediate or delay start can be chosen, as well as the reading rate. Select Start to program the settings and start the data logger. Place the thermal shield around the HiTemp140 and screw it back together. The device is ready to be deployed.

The HiTemp140-TSK can be completely submerged and is built for applications that require extreme temperature monitoring.

HiTemp140-FP  Data Logger 
with a long, flexible RTD probe with a narrow diameter, to 260°C

HiTemp140-FPThe HiTemp140-FP is a durable, user friendly high temperature data logger featuring a long, flexible RTD probe with a narrow diameter, making it ideal for use in steam sterilization and lyophilization processes.

Commonly used for mapping, validation and monitoring of high temperature surfaces and environments, this stainless steel data logger is available in two models, the HiTemp140-FP-36 and the HiTemp140-FP-72, which feature either 36 inch or 72 inch flexible probe lengths, respectively. The flexible probe is coated with PFA insulation and can withstand temperatures up to 260 °C with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C.

The HiTemp140-FP probe design is narrow and lightweight making it ideal for placement within small vials, tubing, test tube and other small diameter or delicate applications. Because of the flexible probe, the risks of breakage (both vial and probe) generally associated with stainless steel probe loggers are diminished and the location and placement of the probe is easy to manipulate. The device records and stores up to 32,700 time stamped readings and is equipped with non-volatile solid state memory that will continue recording even if battery becomes discharged.

The HiTemp140-FP can be configured for delayed start and is capable of reading rates as often as four readings per second, up to once every 24 hours.

Compatible with the latest MadgeTech Data Logger Software, starting, stopping, and downloading data is simple and reporting capabilities are abundant. The device connects to a PC with the IFC400 interface or the IFC406 docking station (sold separately). HiTemp140-FR  Data Logger, and Hitemp140-FR-TSK with Thermal Shield

HiTemp140-FRThe HiTemp140-FR is a high temperature data logger with an ultra-fast response time, to record temperature during rapidly changing thermal processes. This high temperature data logger features a 2 in x 0.0625 in diameter probe and is capable of recording up to 4Hz, which is 5 times faster than other data loggers in this series. This allows the temperature sensor to quickly adapt and accurately record temperature variations in changing environments. Applications include oven profiling, steam sterilization, chamber mapping, seafood processing, flash freezing and more.

MadgeTech’s entire HiTemp140 data logger series is designed with food grade stainless steel. The device can be placed in environments up to 140 °C and the probe is capable of measuring from -200 °C to +260 °C (-328 °F to +500 °F).

The HiTemp140-FR is also available with an optional thermal shield enclosure to extend the operating range of the data logger to -200 °C to +250 °C (-328 °F to +482 °F). The PR140 is a pressure data logger designed for use in autoclave validation and mapping. This rugged data logger can withstand temperatures up to 140 °C and is completely submersible (IP68). The PR140 is built with a precision stainless steel pressure gauge. The data logger has an accuracy of ±0.03 Bar (±0.435 PSI), which can be achieved over a wide temperature range, from 20 °C to +140 °C (68 °F to 284 °F). The PR140 can be programmed to take readings as often as once per second (1 Hz), and has non-volatile memory that can store up to 32,700 measurements.

The MadgeTech 4 Secure Software aids customers in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 requirements. IFC200 
Interface Cable

MadgeTech’s IFC200 interface cable communicates between stand alone data loggers and the MadgeTech software. Through this interface, loggers can be started, stopped or downloaded.

The IFC200 has been redesigned, and is now “plug and play”. It can be directly connected to a computer without installing any drivers and is compatible with Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista (32 and 64 bit), and Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) operating systems. The improved IFC200 can now operate at up to 500 Volts RMS relative to the computer’s earth ground when attached.

The IFC200 is equipped with communication LEDs, that provide a quick indication of the device status. The blue light illuminates when the device is plugged in and successfully recognized by Windows. The red light flashes when data is sent, and the green light flashes when data is received.

High temperature data loggers

There are different types of Tecnosoft data loggers for high temperatures, different sizes and shapes, suitable for several applications in the pharmaceutiocal and food field, etc.
There are loggers for up to 100°C and loggers for up to 140°C, for the different needs of pasteurisation and sterilisation processes.    zkez

These data loggers can be used also with the TS Manager system, compatible with the FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulation.

There are some production processes that can be highly improved with a real time monitoring of temperature.
Cables and complicated installations of equipment usually make these systems not so easy to use and too expensive.

SterilDisk  Temperature Datalogger for sterilization processes

SterildiskThe SterilDisk, data logger for temperatures up to 140°C,
in a circular housing, 36 mm in diameter and just 18 mm high, making it compact and therefore easy to position, even in the tightest spaces or in more than one device when mapping temperature inside chambers.

The main body is in AISI316L stainless steel, whilst the isolating parts are o-rings: these materials, apart from being able to support very high temperatures without exhibiting deformation, are also food grade.
The data logger, therefore, has numerous applications, from medical or industrial, in sterilisation processes, to the food industry, where it is possible to monitor the actual product and not simply the environment in which it is manufactured.
There are also the versions with external probe: 10, 30 or 50 mm length; the 50 mm has a threaded part to be screwed on different surfaces.
The SterilDisk can be provided with a calibration certificate Accredia (Italian calibration center, NIST equivalent) traceable.

PressureDisk  Temperature and Pressure logger
for autoclaves with validation software

PressureDiskThe PressureDisk is a data logger for temperature and pressure monitoring, in particular in autoclave, since it resists up to 140°C.
It can be provided alone or in a kit made by the TS Manager software, compatible with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations, and one or more temperature loggers (the software can manage all of your devices).
All can log up to 140°C and resist up to 5 bar of pressure and can be used to map the autoclave and check it is working well.
All devices are in food grade material and are submersible, so that they can be used easily also in the food industry.
With the TS Manager system it is possible to validate autoclaves by professional validators.
PressureDisk is rugged, with a user replaceable battery that can work for several sterilisation cycles; the temperature sensor is on a radial probe while the pressure one is inserted in a threaded insert with a ½ Gas that can be screwed on standard receptacles on autoclaves even if its main use is inside autoclaves.
It is provided with an Accredia (Italian NIST equivalent) traceable calibration certificate

Validation
The TS Manager system is particularly indicated for autoclaves validators, since it allows to manage a Customer database, with the list of each instrument for each Customer. Being FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compatible it can be easily implemented in every monitoring and validation process, being compliant to law and international regulations. For example, it can be used to validate autoclaves in hospitals, in analysis laboratories, in dentists office or among tattooers and piercers.

The System

The S-Micro L, 25 mm longer than S-Micro Standard, hosts a battery with superior capacity for extended battery life and calibration range.

S-Radio  Temperature Datalogger - up to 140°C
for sterilization processes, food cooking, cans and food packages control

S-RadioThe S-Radio is the wireless data logger for high temperatures (up to 140°C).
It is made up by a cylindrical body made of PEEK, a plastic material highly resistant and food compatible; metallic parts are in AISI316L stainless steel.
The main body diameter is 30 mm, the length 76 mm..
It is available with a 3 mm diameter probe with choice of lengths,  the probe is ideal for cans, food packages and jars.
The datalogger, therefore, has numerous applications in the food industry,
where it is possible to monitor the actual product and not simply the environment in which it is manufactured. It is used, for example, to control meat and ham cooking, food packages, cans.
The radio transmission allows to watch on the PC monitor the temperature and the F0/PU curves in real time, and set also threshold alarms.

DiskInterface HS

DiskInterface HS pictureThe DiskInterface HS (High Speed) is the connection bay used for downloading data and programming all the high temperature loggers, both up to 100°C and 140°C, and the PressureDisk series loggers.
Differently from the previous version, it needs no adapter to connect to loggers other than the Disk series.
It allows the communication between the data loggers and its management programs, the SPD, the TS Manager, the PressureDisk software.
It is connected to the PC via a USB cable included with the interface.

DiskInterface HS shows, with every software is used, the battery level of the connected device.
It is very easy and intuitive to be used: the logger's base must be placed on the metal plate while the probe is inserted in the crack of the small plate connected to the rod (for loggers without probe, just let this small plate rest on their top). So, the base always down, the probe always up.
Check the instructions downloadable below for better understanding.
Screwing and unscrewing the screw on the back of the cursor you can adjust the eight of the small plate, according to logger's size. Screw the screw tight to keep the plate in place.
During connection the multi coloured LED on top of the metal rod will show connection status and operations.

The TS Manager has been developed with two main ideas: being 21 CFR Part 11 compatible and being a "must-have" resource for all validators of autoclaves, incubators, pasteurisers and general equipment in the healthcare and food industry.
So it has all the features requested by the FDA regulations and other features that let the user manage all his/her validation for the different customers.
The software meets all requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and presents some peculiar features meeting some requirements of particular applications.

SPD  Management software for sterilisation data loggers

The SPD software is the management program for the SterilDisk, PasteurDisk, SterilCyl, PasteurCyl, SterilDisk Jumbo, PasteurDisk Jumbo, SterilCyl Jumbo, PasteurCyl Jumbo, SterilDisk Can, PasteurDisk Can, SterilCyl Radio and PasteurCyl Radio dataloggers.

It's easy to use, intuitive and full of options. The communication with the devices is made by the Disk Interface (serial or USB), that allows to start the loggers and download the data from them, setting also the start delay and some notes.
Data are then displayed on graph, with zoom function, and table, exportable in Excel.
It is possible to put two vertical markers (lines) to highlight a particular area of the process, giving a name to the markers too: for example, it is possible to select the beginning and the end of the process, or a particular phase of it, calculating the F0 value for that portion only.

The software calculates the F0 and the PU (pasteurisation units) of the process to evaluate the level of sterilisation or pasteurisation. In the configuration window it is possible to set the parameters for the F0 and PU calculation according to the process you want to monitor.
The software, allows to print complete reports with graph, data table, device serial number, and other notes added by the user.
It is also possible to see the battery status of the connected device.
A special feature gives the possibility to set a stop time for the mission: you can program the logger to automatically stop acquisitions after a certain period expressed in seconds, minutes, hours or days.

The SPD software supports the wireless datalogger for pasteurisation and sterilisation too, PasteurCyl Radio and SterilCyl Radio. Through the USB Radio Receiver you will be able to receive data real time from your process. You will see the data one after another, you will be able to assign an alarm profile (on F0/PU values and temperature values to be reached) and you can choose up to 4 sensors (that can be selected any time) to display a graph both for the temperature and the dynamic F0/PU curve.
It is possible to ask to calculate F0/PU only for certain curves and exclude the other sensors from the statistics.
It is possible to download the user's manual in PDF format and the last software update (the full software is necessary to run properly). Download the file .zip and follow the instructions in the README.TXT inside it. It is necessary to install Microsoft .NET 4.0 to make this update run: you can download it from Microsoft website, in your OS language.

The Thermocron temperature logger is an incredibly small and easy to use device that is a fraction of the price of every other temperature logger on the market.
Their small size and sturdy construction make them ideal for wet and rough conditions.

iButton Capsule mechanical enclosure

The iButton® Capsule is a mechanical enclosure to protect Temperature Logger iButtons (DS1921 and S1922 series) from moisture, solvents and pressure.
The device consists of a base with the cavity for a F5 iButton, a screw-in plug with O-ring to seal the enclosure, and a top with two stainless-steel screws to mount the iButton Capsule to a cable, e.g., to measure temperature at different levels within a liquid.
The cable is inserted into the notch of the plug where it is held in place by the matching protrusion of the top piece.

Note that the logger cannot be connected to a PC whilst in the capsule – it must be removed from the capsule for setup and downloading data.
