CONNECTION: Standard DIN plug      WEIGHT : Approx 7kg (keyboard and repeater)
From the Keyboard unit there is a 2m cable to the Isolation Barrier which is about 100x100x50mm.
Then there is about 1m to the Repeater Module which is about 120x120x30mm.
This has a double cable which lead to the kb & mouse sockets on the computer.
Manufactured under AUSEX certification and International EX certification.

“Intrinsically Safe” devices have been specifically developed for use in hazardous areas where an explosive mixture of air and gas or vapor is or may be present.

“Intrinsically Safe” devices are incapable of causing an explosion in the surrounding explosive atmosphere.
This generally involves adding protective components in series with energy storage devices.
The purpose of the protective components is to reduce the risk of ignition due to spark or increased surface temperature of components.

These areas typically include mining, petroleum and chemical engineering plants and factories processing and storing gases, solvents and other flammable substances.

Intrinsic safety (IS) barriers are a core component of an intrinsically safe solution.
Intrinsic safety barriers are devices that limit current, voltage, & total energy delivered to a sensor or other instrument located in a hazardous area.
Limiting the energy prevents fires & explosions from occurring in areas with hazardous chemicals, gases or other ignitable atmospheres.

Items below described as IS are manufactured under AUSEX certification,
and now have International EX certification.    (EX refers to Explosion Protection)

EX Zone 0: Where hydrocarbons or gases are present at all times during normal operation,
EX Zone 1: Where hydrocarbons or gases may be present during normal operation (for a limited time),
EX Zone 2: Where hydrocarbons or gases are only be present during abnormal operation (or for a very limited time).
