Advantech’s new range of MXM GPU cards is specifically designed to boost high-performance Edge AI. The range includes the SKY-MXM-A500, SKY-MXM-A1000 and SKY-MXM-A4500, along with the MIC-75GF10 i-Module, a GPU expansion module dedicated for the MIC-7 series of IPCs and MXM series of GPU cards. The three MXM GPU cards are built on the NVIDIA® Ampere architecture, which delivers a 2x increase in FP32 performance with Ampere CUDA cores, and 2x bandwidth via PCIe Gen 4 compared with the previous generation. The cards feature accelerated AI, advanced graphics and high-performance computing capabilities, which are important for embedded computing solutions in industrial deployments. The MIC-75GF10 is fully compatible with the MXM GPU cards and MIC-770 V3, enabling excellent CPU and GPU computing power for new Edge AI applications.
Advantech offers diverse MXM GPU cards built on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture
As an Elite partner in the NVIDIA Partner Network, Advantech designed and manufactured embedded MXM GPU cards based on embedded GPUs from NVIDIA — keeping up with the evolution of NVIDIA’s latest launches. Advantech offers MXM GPU cards built on NVIDIA’s previous GPU architecture, and launched SKY-MXM-A2000 built on the latest Ampere architecture earlier this year. Now, Advantech completes its product selections with a full range of MXM GPU cards, with the latest SKY-MXM-A500, SKY-MXM-A1000, and SKY-MXM-A4500 cards. These three new MXM GPU cards are also built on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, feature the second-generation RT Cores and third-generation Tensor Cores — which can accelerate ray tracing and AI inference — and provide high-performance computing and image processing capabilities. This accelerates AI application development in industrial manufacturing, medical care, transportation and gaming — including machine automation and machine vision, dental and surgical systems, driver-assistance and slot machines.
MXM GPU cards fulfill the computing demands of fanless and harsh environments
With a compact size and ruggedised design, the MXM GPU cards offer two form factors: SKY-MXM-A500 and SKY-MXM-A1000 are Type A in 82 x 70 mm format, and SKY-MXM-A4500 is Type B+ in 82 x 105 mm format. They fit into various limited space applications that require fanless design and low power consumption. SKY-MXM-A500 has the lowest power consumption (up to 35W) and can fulfill the demands of GPU computing in various portable devices. With high-performance and compact design, SKY-MXM-A1000 offers the best cost value. SKY-MXM-A4500 is the most powerful MXM GPU card with the support of 5,888 CUDA cores and 16GB GDDR6. With customised thermal solutions, Advantech MXM GPU cards can withstand 0°C to 55°C operating temperatures for the demands of harsh industrial environments. In addition, these MXM GPU cards all feature over five-year longevity and extended product life support, which can help ensure workstation stability and durability.
Compact MIC-75GF10 i-Module is a dedicated design for MXM GPU cards
Advantech also provides the powerful and versatile Advantech i-Module series for a range of different GPU-powered applications and high-performance edge AI. MIC-75GF10 is born to support MXM GPU cards. Compatible with MIC-7 series high-performance embedded box IPC, the whole system offers the benefits of a compact size and fanless design. It’s the ideal edge computing solution for space-limited applications, and noise and dust-sensitive environments. MIC-75GF10 fully supports Advantech MXM GPU cards with NVIDIA embedded GPUs, with up to 80W power consumption support and available in MXM 3.1 Type A and Type B form factors. The ruggedised design supports up to a 50°C operating temperature range (35W TDP CPU with SKY-MXM-T1000), and the resistance of 1Grms vibration. The combination of NVIDIA embedded GPUs, MXM GPU cards, i-Module MIC-75GF10 and the latest MIC-770 V3 with 12th Gen.
