ADAM-4561/4562 allows PC users to connect a serial device to a system that use a USB interface. To attach the ADAM-4561/4562 to a PC, you don’t need to open the chassis or power down your PC. Instantly get one or two extra high-speed RS-232/422/485 ports. The power is derived from the USB port, so there are no power adapters to deal with. Thismakes the ADAM-4561/4562 especially suitable for modems, printers, POS systems and industrial control devices.
Compliant with USB V1.1, ADAM-4561/4562 features several powerful functions such as high-speed 115.2 kbps transmission, support for various operating systems, independentRS-232/422/485 ports and more. By simply plugging in a USB hub, ADAM-4561/4562 eliminates the configuration issues associated with high-priced, older card solutions. Youonly have to install the drivers, no need to set cards slots, IRQ addresses, DMA channels, or device addresses. This reduces programming effort.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) has become the connectivity workhorse of today’s PCs, replacing the familiar serial port. However, many commercial and industrial devices still use the RS-485 interface. To connect these devices to modern PCs, you need a simple and reliable conversion solution. The 485USB9F-4W-LS offers RS-485 4-wire conversion in a space saving, USB port-powered package. Simply install the drivers and plug the converter into an available USB port on your computer or USB hub. The device will appear as an additional COM port in the Windows Device Manager which is fully compatible with your Windows applications. A one meter USB cable is included. Locked Serial Numbers Explained – The “locked serial number” format uses the same serial number (same COM port) that is associated with a given model type. If the converter is shared among several computers, like field service laptops, a locked serial number model lets you plug and play without having to worry about matching the two.

Descriptions
Universal Serial Bus (USB) has become the connectivity workhorse of today’s PCs, replacing the familiar serial ports. However, many commercial and industrial devices still use the RS-232 interface. To connect these devices to modern PCs, you need a simple and reliable conversion solution. The 232USB9M-LS offers this solution in a space saving, USB port-powered package. Locked Serial Numbers Explained – “Locked serial number” format uses the same serial number that is associated with a model type. If the converter is shared among several computers, like field service laptops, the “locked serial number” model lets you plug and play without having to worry about matching the two.

Descriptions
Model USPTL4 is a USB to one-port RS-422/485 converter that supports 2-wire RS-485 or 4-wire RS-422/485 communications. It is ideal for applications requiring long-range or multi-drop capabilities. Model USPTL4 uses pluggable terminal blocks on the RS-422/485 side. Two LEDs indicate data transmit or receive. The converter draws power from the USB port so no power supply is required. High retention USB port holds standard USB cables tight. Simply install the drivers supplied on CD ROM and plug the converter into an available USB port on your computer or USB hub. The device show ups as an additional COM port in the Windows Device Manager, and is compatible with Windows applications. Locked Serial Numbers Explained – We configure our single-port USB to serial converters in two ways. In standard format, each product has a unique serial number. “Locked serial” format uses the same serial number that is associated with a model type. If your converter will always be used with the same computer, the standard serialized model is all you need. If the converter is shared among several computers, like field service laptops, the locked serial number model lets you plug and play without having to worry about matching the two. Universal Serial Bus – USB has become the connectivity workhorse of today’s PCs, replacing classic serial ports. But, many commercial and industrial devices still use RS-422/485 interfaces. To connect these devices to modern PCs, you need robust and reliable conversion solutions. USB ports are becoming more common on commercial and industrial equipment such as point-of-sale peripherals, medical devices, scientific instrumentation, laboratory equipment and other devices or in environments where surges, spikes and ground loops are likely to occur. RS-485 Control – No special software is required to control the RS-485 receiver or transmit line driver. The driver is automatically enabled during each byte transmitted in RS-485 mode. The transmitter is always enabled in RS-422 mode. The receiver is tri-stated during each byte transmitted in the echo-off mode. The receiver is always enabled in the echo-on mode. There are 4.7k Ohm pull-up/pull-down resistors on the RDA and RDB lines. A termination resistor may be added to R16 if needed.
