Our new cost-effective thermopile pyranometers feature a blackbody thermopile detector that provides a much broader and more uniform spectral response for better performance in all atmospheric conditions. RK200-04 Solar Radiation Sensor is designed on basis of optical principle. It is mainly used for measuring solar radiation within 300-3000nm wavelength. If the sensing face is downwards, it can test the reflected radiation and solar radiation on the incident to the inclined plane. If shad is added, it can test the scattered radiation. Sunshine hours is the sum of time periods that the sun direct irradiance intensity to reach or exceed 120W/m2 time , hour as a unit, a decimal. Sunshine-hours is also known as actual irradiance time.

In order to ensure measurement accuracy, please keep the horizontal installation.
Mounting & Maintenance:
The sensor should be installed in the open air without any shield above the sensing surface .
The sensor connector should be faced to the north, fix it after the horizontal position is well adjusted.
Please check the filter cover regularly & make sure it is clean.
Please do not remove or loose the filter cover, otherwise the accuracy will be affected.
Please make sure the desiccant to be dry (If the color of desiccant is changed from blue to red, it should be replaced)
Protection cover is not necessary in general rainfall, but if prolonged heavy rains or hail, the protective cover is recommended to be installed.
The sensitivity is recommended to be re-calibrated after two years use.

The RK200-02 PAR Sensor is mainly used for measuring solar radiation within 400~700nm wavelength. It is easy installation and can work continuously in all weathers. When there is sunlight, voltage output proportional to incident light intensity will be generated by the silicon-photo detector in the sensor. Its sensitivity is proportional to the cosine of incident light direct angle. Each product is with one sensitivity coefficient respectively. It can directly output radiation value in unit of μ*mol/m2*s.
Based on thermopile principle; sensing elements are made by winding – plated thermopiles with multi contacts. Its surface is coated by black coating with high absorption rate.

The RK200-03 Pyranometer is produced based thermopile principle; sensing elements are made by winding – plated thermopiles with multi contacts. Its surface is coated by black coating with high absorption rate. Hot contacts on the sensors surface, while the cold junction is located within the body, temperature difference between the hot and cold junction generates electromotive force, the thermoelectric effect is proportional to the solar radiation. In order to reduce the ambient temperature effect ,temperature compensation circuit designed here to reduce the effects to products properties.
If you choose 0-20mv signal output, without power supply.
If you choose RS485/0-5V/4-20mA output signal, the external signal conversion module(98*66*49mm) will be additional.
