The Advantech MIC-733-AO edge AI system and MIC-713S-OX AI solution kit have received a 2023 IoT Edge Computing Excellence Award from IoT Evolution World, the leading website covering the Internet of Things (IoT) marketplace.

MIC-733 empowers high-performance AI applications
The Advantech MIC-733-AO computing system leverages the powerful NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin to empower energy-efficient autonomous machines. It accelerates NVIDIA AI software stacks with 4x the CUDA cores and 8x the performance of the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier modules. It also supports multiple sensors and the latest high-speed interfaces.
The MIC-733 design is uniquely suited to edge AI applications. The compact fanless system is capable of enduring the wide operating temperatures (-10 ~ 60 °C/14 ~ 140 °F) found in harsh environments. It delivers flexible expansion slots and multiple I/O — including 4 x USB 3.0, 2 x Mini-PCIe and 2 x M.2 to AI developers. The iDoor and iModule expansion and support for diverse peripherals enables I/O module customisation through the Mini-PCIe and full PCIe interfaces.
This includes the use/modification of CANBus controllers, CoaXPress frame grabbers and PoE modules for IP cameras. In order to accommodate growing high-performance AI demands, the MIC-733-AO features 4 x GbE ports for high-speed data transmission that enables 5G communication.
MIC-713S-OX Solution Kit enables fast integration
The MIC-713S-OX solution kit consists of carrier boards designed with the test-then-design mindset. The MIC-713S-OX offers as much I/O expansion as possible and all the peripherals are tested beforehand. AI developers can quickly integrate peripherals such as IP cameras, USB cameras, LAN cards, PCIe expansion cards or 2.5”/3.5” SSD/HDDs, and customise them into the ideal form factors they want.
The MIC-713S-OX has 2~5 x LANs (4 can be upgraded to PoE for IP cameras), 6 x USB 3.0 ports (2 at the front support up to 15W/port USB camera), 1x MIPI CSI for 2 x GMSL2 cameras, and 1 x PCIex4 for various expansions like LAN cards or frame grabbers for more I/O flexibility. The MIC-713S-OX has 1 x mini PCIe, 1 x M.2 2280 and a dedicated power that allows SATA ports up to 2 x 2.5”/3.5” HDDs. With all the tested peripherals and Advantech design-in service, customers can transform the MIC-713S-OX into different form factors such as AI NVR (Network Video Recorder) and AI robotic systems.
