They are specified for a particular application, configured with specific software and settings, and commissioned into a system that depends on them, often in harsh environments. When one fails, the cost isn’t just the hardware. It’s the lead time for a replacement, the reconfiguration, the site visit and the production impact while the system is down.
An extra year of warranty coverage doesn’t prevent failure, but it does mean that if something covered by the warranty goes wrong in that third year, the hardware replacement cost is covered. This can be especially important for equipment installed at remote sites or in harsh environments, or systems where the PC was expensive to commission.

CyberVisuell PPC Panel PCs are all-in-one industrial computers with a built-in LCD screen, full metal construction and an IP65-rated waterproof front panel. Screen sizes range from 10″ to 23.8″, with processor options from Celeron to Core i7, and VESA mounting is standard.
