Power-related issues are the most common cause of failed industrial PCs that come back to our bench. Voltage fluctuations, incorrect supply voltages and cheap mains adaptors in harsh environments account for more dead units than heat, dust, and vibration combined. To help overcome these challenges, we’re offering a free upgrade to a 9-36V wide voltage input on CyberVisuell TBOX and PPC models this month.*
Most CyberVisuell TBOX and PPC models ship with a standard 12V DC power input and a mains adaptor. That works fine in a clean office or lab environment, but in an industrial cabinet, on a remote site or anywhere the power supply is less than perfectly stable, a fixed 12V input leaves very little margin for error.
The 9-36V wide voltage input option solves this. It allows the PC to operate reliably across a broad input voltage range, which provides genuine protection against the real-world power conditions found in industrial installations. Whether you are running off a 12V battery system, a 24V DIN rail supply, or anything in between, the wide voltage input handles it without an external adaptor.
During March, we are including the 9-36V wide voltage power input upgrade at no extra cost on all TBOX and PPC models that support the option.
If you are specifying an industrial PC for a new project, or replacing an existing unit in an environment where power quality is a concern, this is a good time to get in touch.
