A suite of new Advantech products is available to help equipment vendors and service providers accelerate industrial and enterprise network edge applications. The three motherboards and a network appliance are based on the new 13th Gen Intel Core processor that brings more cores, threads, cache and faster memory to compute-intensive Iot edge applications.
Industries and enterprises are transforming infrastructure to build a more intelligent Iot edge able to manage an increasing number of connected devices, and turn edge-generated data into a competitive advantage. The new Advantech products integrate 13th Gen Intel Core i9/i7/i5/i3 processors with up to 24 high performance hybrid cores and 32 threads for powerful multitasking to accelerate the IoT edge transformation.
The new processor family supports up to PCIe 5.0 connectivity, DDR5 memory and higher L2/L3 cache on selected SKUs to give more control over workload prioritising. It provides hardware-enabled AI acceleration with Intel Deep Learning Boost. In combination with high core counts and integrated graphics, this boosts AI training and inference, with fast GPU image classification performance.
New motherboards designed for edge Ai applications
Industrial equipment manufacturers can leverage the new ASMB-588, ASMB-788 and ASMB-610V3 motherboards which have been designed for edge AI applications such as machine automation and machine vision. They provide flexible implementation options through standard microATX and ATX form factors or bundled with the Advantech HPC-6120 short-depth edge server chassis. The three industrial motherboards support latest DDR5 ECC/Non-ECC UDIMMs up to 128GB and a rich mix of PCIe expansion slots to accelerate compute-intensive edge AI applications. They are ideal for industrial edge environments with low power, compact size and wide operating temperature requirements.

An upgraded network appliance
The new FWA-3034 network appliance upgrades throughput of software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) and next generation security applications for network equipment vendors and communication service providers. The solution scales performance of the new 13th Intel Core processors up to 24 hybrid cores to address growing enterprise networking and security challenges. It provides rich 1GbE, 2.5GbE and 10 GbE network interfaces to meet a wide range of deployment needs and supports an extra Network Mezzanine Card slot to integrate additional Ethernet or PoE ports. 4G LTE or 5G wireless connectivity is supported via an M.2 slot.
The FWA-3034 has been designed for high-reliability to minimise costly downtime, service interruptions and on-site support requirements. It integrates Advantech’s management platform, which supports Redfish and advanced features such as failsafe remote BIOS and firmware updates, Advanced LAN Bypass, and dual power modules. This makes it ideal for business-critical communication applications.
