In a recent hospital project, RENU’s PLCs and HMIs form the basis of a sophisticated operating room management system. They are empowering doctors and nurses to control critical theatre parameters – managing oxygen gas pressures, tank flow rates, temperature, humidity, and lighting – all through an intuitive interface.
The system design
For comprehensive control and remote accessibility, the integrators opted for RENU’s 10.1” FP4101TN Advanced HMI, available from ESIS. This HMI offers a suite of unique features such as VNC server capabilities, data logging, email, FTP client, recipe management, alarms, and a web server, meeting the complex demands of operating theatre management.
Designed and programmed using RENU’s FlexiSoft programming software, the system seamlessly integrates the 10.1” FP4101TN Advanced HMI with the latest FL005 PLC. The HMI’s Ethernet option enables efficient communication using Modbus TCP/IP protocol over standard networks.
